Before the movie, please join us for a dedication ceremony renaming Petrovitsky Park’s Baseball Diamond Number 1 in honor of Eric Anderson, Kentridge High School’s athletic director who sadly passed away this summer. The ceremony will start around 8 p.m.

Important! Students, Parents, and Families - Potential Delay in School Start Day

The Kent Education Association (KEA) which represents non-administrator certificated educators in Kent School District (KSD) has authorized a strike if an agreement on a contract is not reached by August 29.

Battle of the Books

 The "Battle of the Books" is a reading incentive program in elementary, middle school, and high schools across the country. Find out more about the district sponsored program HERE. Fairwood placed 3rd out of 26 schools this year!

Check out the Fairwood Battle of the Books blog for the 2018-19 list and some tips/hints.  Mrs. Keiser will help organize the groups.

    • No volunteering required, just join the TEAM Fairwood PTSA and show your support. 
  2. School supply lists for each grade at Fairwood are posted here.
  3. Follow TEAM Fairwood PTSA on Facebook here.
  4. Subscribe to PTSA weekly email here.
  5. Sign up for School ListServ - Simply click here to update your school account receive regular school communications.  If you do not have an account and currently have a student at Fairwood, please contact the school office.
  6. Register for silent fundraising - Check out our silent fundraising page for more information!
  7. Subscribe to the PTA Calendar - Simply click here to subscribe to learn how to easily sync Fairwood PTSA's with your personal calendar.
  8. Complete doctor/dental appointments before school starts. Make sure your child is up-to-date on their immunizations.
  9. Has your child outgrown some of his/her clothes over the summer?  Bring them in to the PTSA Clothing Donation bin at school!  Clothes are donated to KSD families in need to ensure all students are dressed for success.


PTSA Art Docents & Helpers needed

Do you want to be one of the most popular parents in your child's class? Can you spare 2-3 hours a month? Become an Art Docent volunteer!! Training is scheduled for Friday, September 28th.

We NEED Art Docent Volunteers for the following grades: 2nd, 4th and 5th grade

* Each project comes with a list of things you can tell the students about the artist and examples of their work of art. 
* All suggested projects have been classroom tested and come with a list of supplies and tips on getting the most from the project.
